Going Orange for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month at the ASPCA. At In-Home Pet Sitters we know understand the importance of supporting animals that can’t support themselves. There are several different ways that you can “go orange” for animals this April.

  • You can talk with local businesses about putting up orange lighting or signage in order to help raise awareness.
  • You can support your local shelter by donating food or supplies. You could also organize an “orange” event on their behalf to fundraise for the shelter.
  • Decorate your house, your car, your office, yourself, or your dog or cat with orange. Even if one person inquires about the orange, you’ve helped raise awareness of animal cruelty.
  • Go orange virtually. Social media is a powerful tool, just posting about your care of the cause will help raise awareness.
  • Become an animal activist. If you have an interest in protecting animal rights you can become an activist by contacting government officials and news outlets about the seriousness of animal cruelty crimes.

Helping an animal in any way is considered heroic in our book. While April is dedicated to animal cruelty awareness, at In-Home Pet Sitters we live and breathe “orange” all year long. We’re proud to be your Melbourne, FL pet sitters, contact us today for your pet sitting needs.
