Top 5 New Year’s Resolutions For Your Pet

With a new year around the corner, you will probably begin making a New Year’s resolution or two. Have you thought that your pets probably need to make some as well. We have put together five doable New Year’s resolutions for your pet.

EXERCISE REGULARLY

Get moving! Your pets need to get out and move, just as you do. Take daily walks and maybe even jog a little. Once you and your pet get into this new routine, you will all feel healthier and lighter.

TEACH AN OLD DOG A NEW TRICK

You or your dog may actually be the one needing to learn a new trick. How about investing in a frisbee? When is the last time you tossed a frisbee back and forth? Dogs of all ages usually like to learn a new trick or two.

VISIT YOUR PET’S VET

Our pets need regular doctor visits just as we do.

Now is the time to make sure your pet is healthy and current with all immunizations.

BRUSH YOUR PET’S TEETH

When is the last time you brushed your pet’s teeth? Your pet’s gums will be healthier with an occasional brushing, along with fresh breath. Most importantly use toothpaste that is meant to be used on your pet. Your vet can give you some suggestions as to what would be best to use.

PET ID TAGS

With a new year, now is the time to be serious about pet identification tags. Can you read the information on your pet’s current id tags? If not, it’s time to invest in new ones. Should your pet become lost in the new year, it will be much easier to reunite you.
